| Hi, my name is Mariah, founder of Mariah's Mountain Herbs. I am so excited to have the opportunity to share my love of natural healing with you. My personal interest in herbs for medicinal use began when my grandmother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Not a big fan of chemotherapy and the toll it takes on the mind and body, I scoured the internet for something natural that could help her. It was then that I was introduced to Essiac tea. The information that I found and the stories I read about Rene Caisse and her successful work with cancer were really inspiring to me. From the moment I first read about Essiac, I have delved head-on into the world of herbal healing and have been pleasantly surprised with the results of every single remedy I've used. I have been taking courses for the past two years, I am nearly finished with the courses necessary to becoming a certified herbalist, and I have enjoyed it immensely... I encourage you all to learn everything you can about herbs and their healing qualities, it is a really exciting field of medicine. I have only included on this site the items that I have on-hand, ready to ship. I have access to many different herbs, and am constantly adding to my 'collection'. So please, check back often, and don't be afraid to request an herb that you would like to try, there are no extra charges for special orders, although there can be a delay of up to one week for teas and capsules, and four weeks for special order tinctures. If you would like information about an herb, whether it is one I currently carry or not, I can send you a fact sheet. I am in the process of converting my 'about the herbs' page to make it possible for you to print out the fact sheets at home if you want. If you or a loved one have an ailment or condition that you would like to try to remedy using alternative medicine, but aren't sure where to start, please contact me and I will gladly help you find the remedy you need.
