A Word on 'Essiac'

In 1922, A Canadian nurse named Rene Caisse first discovered this amazing herbal formula when one of the patients in the hospital where she worked was cured of breast cancer. The patient had received the preparation from an Ojibway herbalist. Caisse began to experiment with the formula and found it to be effective in treating many ailments,cancer being one of them. The results of her research were so astonishing that the Ontario government of Canada got involved. By 1938, Essiac came within three votes of being legalized by the Ontario government as a treatment for terminal cancer. Unfortunately, the work done by Rene Caisse was destroyed and it took years to resurface.

I cannot legally make any health claims regarding Essiac, nor can I legally use the now-patented name of Essiac on my tea, however, the herbs I use in my tea are the same herbs used by Caisse, and the formula I use came from Dr. Gary Glum, and are assuredly the same formula used by Rene in her clinic.  I strongly recommend that if you have internet access, you do some online research on Rene Caisse and her work.
